Fondant
So again...I'm on the internet, this time I went on youtube to research how to make roses with buttercream. I saw a really interesting video on a three tier black and white cake with the same exact flowers. My reaction, "I can do that!"

Fa la la la la....Merry Christmas!!!!
YES I know I'm late...or too early.
A few months ago I came across a website with decorated sugar cookies. I scrolled down and saw a recipe to duplicate the same cookies. I said to myself, "Hey, I can try to make those!"
Into my kitchen I went with recipe on hand, determined to make cut-out cookies. My first attempt was a flop. Not only did the cookies expanded, but they looked nowhere like a christmas tree or a star. Second attempt...flop! Although, I did use a different recipe quite similar to the first one, the cookies again expanded.
So to make a long story short, after researching recipe after recipe....after recipe, I decided to make my own recipe. Below, you'll see my finished product, I think I did a pretty good job.
I have to admit, they are a lot of work, but I found it to be so therapeutic.

Winter time blues
I'm trying to play catch-up....
I have a few more pictures to share of my cupcakes/cakes/cookies.
This picture was actually taking almost a year ago. It was right around this time, I had an incredible urge for chocolate. So of course, I go into the pantry and YES I had all the ingredients in the pantry to make this luscious masterpiece. My cake version of my oh so ever delicious chocolate hazelnut espresso cupcakes. I used a leaf tip to decorate the top, just to make it look fancy. Maybe I should've taken a picture before we cut into it. :)

It's been a while....
So I kind of disappeared from my blog. I started posting my pictures on Facebook & Instagram where I know it will be seen by many. Here are two of my latest creations.
The first picture is of my Oh soooo yummy Chocolate Hazelnut Espresso cupcakes. Yes even just saying it makes my mouth water! Seriously!!!
The second picture is of my Vanilla Over Chocolate cupcakes. I chose a standard cupcake tip to make the swirl for these. They're actually birthday cupcakes for a boy (Kevin).
No, the Chocolate Hazelnut Espresso are not for the kids. These are for the adults, because adults celebrate too.
